Helicopter Spirals Out of Control into Palm Trees at Frequented Southern California Coast
A helicopter flying over a crowded southern California beach unexpectedly began spiraling wildly, ultimately descending rapidly and plunging into a row of palm trees as spectators watched.
Footage shared on social media capture the aircraft starting to spin above the beach then plunging in the direction of the border of the beach, where it ends up lodged amidst palms and a steps adjacent to the shoreline route.
First Aid Information
Local firefighters reported five persons were rushed to the hospital including a pair who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” after the crash on the weekend.
Three individuals on the pavement were hurt. Information on their wounds were still under review.
The cause of the crash was not yet disclosed.
